The Pose Method: A Standardized Approach to Running & Injury Prevention.

Running is not just about aerobic training. The musculoskeletal load from running is an essential component of training our bodies to adapt to external forces. Running is part of virtually every sport – football, baseball, rugby, etc. And an overwhelming majority of athletes and regular people who participate in running or activities that involve running suffer from an abnormally high rate of injuries.

Learning the correct running Pose is just as important as having a stable position for an overhead squat. Being able to run well is essential to becoming a complete athlete.

This immersive two-day course covers the fundamentals of correct running technique in a lecture setting, with practical application following as participants learn and practice the Pose Method. Drills and exercises are repeated until the student has an understanding of how to learn and teach running technique safely and effectively to anyone of any level. Flexibility and mobility routines for runners are introduced on the second day of the course. Participants will learn to apply the principles in training themselves and others to increase running specific strength, agility and perception – all of which improve running performance.

If your clients are professional or recreational runners, or if they participate in an athletic activity that involves running (which would include the majority of athletic activities), then whether you’re a Physical Therapist, a Sports Doctor, an Athletic Trainer or a Coach – this Certification is for you.

Get Certified. Become a Running Technique Specialist. Lead the way.

There are fundamental and quite simple, yet not readily apparent, principles present in human movement including running. Those principles govern everything from speed to injuries. VO2Max and everything else is secondary to those main principles. Get those down and you will excel in your field.

This course will provide you with evidenced-based strategies and  effective solutions for common running related injuries such as:

  • Chronic Exertional Compartment Syndrome
  • Achilles Tendinitis
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Iliotibial Band Syndrome
  • Shin splints
  • Low Back Pain

Become a Pose Method® Certified Running Technique Specialist. Teach your clients and athletes how to run and help them become faster and reduce injuries. Developed by an Olympic Coach, the Pose Method® of Running is currently the only method of teaching running technique with scientific and clinical evidence of reducing impact on knees by virtually 50% and dramatic reduction of pain and disability associated with the chronic compartment syndrome.
